An enriching school life
Students at Ark Chamberlain Primary Academy will have access to a wide variety of enrichment activities that not only enhance academic learning but widen horizons, providing new experiences and opportunities and increasing aspirations.
Each year we hold six ENRICHMENT DAYS. On these days we bring the whole school together to try new experiences and develop students’ future study and career aspirations.
We will also offer a full programme of after-school activities and as an Ark school, we can offer experiences that wouldn’t otherwise be available to students. For example, every year students from Ark Chamberlain will travel to London to take part in a special music gala at the Barbican arts centre in London.
As well as making school life more enjoyable, enrichment gives students the confidence, skills and experience to succeed in future.
Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to go on a variety of educational visits. Educational visits offer an invaluable opportunity to enrich young peoples’ learning, raise their self esteem, increase their motivation and appetite for learning and raise levels of achievement in many aspects of their life and education.
Visiting new areas and exploring new environments broadens young peoples’ horizons and can deepen awareness of their own and others’ abilities and needs. Visits can also improve understanding between young people and their leaders and this frequently results in improved working relationships on return to the classroom. Educational visits often provide the most enjoyable experiences and enduring memories from school days.
